hi, We just heard the story about your precious daughter Kierra from a friend that stopped over after your fundraiser at Brewer's landing. We hope you had great success with your fundraiser. This story hits really close to home. I(kim) watched my sister(melissa) go through a devastating situation much like yours. My niece Nicole who is now 11, was born and according to the Hospital a healthy baby girl. We were so delighted- she was the very first great-grand daughter, grand-daughter, daughter, niece welcomed in this world as the latest edition of a true miracle. With in a day she turned blue, lossed oxygen to her brain and spent several weeks looking much like the angelic new edition to your family. They could not give us anything positive to hold on to. They said she would never walk or talk and would basically be a special needs child. My sister startled and determined to find out what had caused the blood on her brain also known as a stroke. She quit her job and she stayed at home and worked with Nicole, watched her have seizures and she would never smile or laugh. She cried all of the time. She was at six months of age when she was finally diagnosed with "WEST SYNDROME" which is a very serious condition. Nicole and my sister did not give up and my sister had infants and toddlers involved and did physical therapy with her and read books, played music and gave her all the love in the world. Nicole turned out to be a miracle--her MRI's are used at Medical Conventions and she is walking , talking and she will be going to a public Middle school. I know not everyone is as fortunate as we were and are. With saying that I feel we have something in common and that is a beautiful child that is a miracle and a wonderful gift from God. If we could be helpful with making any MD bracelet orders please let us know. We would be more than glad to help. Feel free to e-mail me and let us know exactly what you would need us to do. Sent with love and prayers, Kim and Melissa Wagner

I was made aware of Kierra's fundraiser by my daughter-in-law Heather. I have made a donation and wish you much success on Saturday 7/17/10 and hope you reach your goal towards the handicapped van you need. God bless you and your family for your courage strength and love. What a beautiful family!

My heart goes out to all of you. I'm the VP of Service and Philanthropy of an organization on our campus working on getting recognition from a national service sorority (Gamma Sigma Sigma). Maybe there is something we could do even though our university is based in Erie, PA. We can collect cans and we will pay to ship them to you. Can someone please contact me about this? We want to help in any way that we can! Thanks! Emily etaft001@gmail.com

I'm extremely touched by your story as I am connected with someone who has gone though the same thing with her daughter. I pray you'll get enough for your van. With God, all things are possible.

Saw your story today in the WVV paper....went onto your web site and read your story and saw your beautiful pictures. I will be sending the site address to all my friends and family at home in Pa...and I will be ordering bracelets for my 3 granddaughters. I live very close to you...I am at Miller and Broadway...if I can ever help you with anything...help with a yard sale, help package anything, run any errands for you...whatever...I am retired and home all day...I would love to help...God Bless you and your family.

What a beautiful little girl! I read your story today in the West Valley View and was very touched. Christy - I can't imagine what you are going through as a mom. I immediately posted on my facebook page the info regarding the fundraisers. I wish you the best of luck and my family will certainly do what they can to help out.

Stay strong, brave family! I sincerely hope your community will pull together to provide what you need, and maybe a little bit of what you want! I hope your proceeds from your fundraisers get you the van you need! Hope you can also find some funding or grants through your local handivan mod garage. Good luck, Carl
