hi, We just heard the story about your precious daughter Kierra from a friend that stopped over after your fundraiser at Brewer's landing. We hope you had great success with your fundraiser. This story hits really close to home. I(kim) watched my sister(melissa) go through a devastating situation much like yours. My niece Nicole who is now 11, was born and according to the Hospital a healthy baby girl. We were so delighted- she was the very first great-grand daughter, grand-daughter, daughter, niece welcomed in this world as the latest edition of a true miracle. With in a day she turned blue, lossed oxygen to her brain and spent several weeks looking much like the angelic new edition to your family. They could not give us anything positive to hold on to. They said she would never walk or talk and would basically be a special needs child. My sister startled and determined to find out what had caused the blood on her brain also known as a stroke. She quit her job and she stayed at home and worked with Nicole, watched her have seizures and she would never smile or laugh. She cried all of the time. She was at six months of age when she was finally diagnosed with "WEST SYNDROME" which is a very serious condition. Nicole and my sister did not give up and my sister had infants and toddlers involved and did physical therapy with her and read books, played music and gave her all the love in the world. Nicole turned out to be a miracle--her MRI's are used at Medical Conventions and she is walking , talking and she will be going to a public Middle school. I know not everyone is as fortunate as we were and are. With saying that I feel we have something in common and that is a beautiful child that is a miracle and a wonderful gift from God. If we could be helpful with making any MD bracelet orders please let us know. We would be more than glad to help. Feel free to e-mail me and let us know exactly what you would need us to do. Sent with love and prayers, Kim and Melissa Wagner
